It is with great excitement and pride that we welcome the 2026 school year at Gongshang Primary School, following a truly meaningful year as we commemorated our 105th Anniversary in 2025. As we usher in the new year, we warmly welcome all Primary 1 and Kindergarten 1 students and their parents to our Gongshang family. |
The year 2025 was especially memorable as we celebrated this significant milestone alongside our former Principals, School Advisory Committee, Alumni, Parent Support Group and parents, highlighted by the official opening of our Heritage Gallery. These shared moments have enriched our collective identity, deepened our appreciation of our rich heritage, and reinforced the bonds that continue to strengthen our Gongshang school spirit.
Founded in January 1920 by Mr. Shi Su as The Chinese Industrial and Commercial Continuation School, the school carries a proud legacy of over a century. As the 11th Principal of this esteemed school, I am deeply privileged to lead a community with such a rich history of educational excellence.
The legacy of Gongshang Primary School is built on the dedication, hard work and passion of generations of students, school leaders, staff and parents who have contributed to its success. The strong leadership and vision of our former Principals have shaped Gongshang Primary School into the established institution it is today. It is upon this rich foundation that we continue to build as we move forward together.
A cornerstone of our success is the strong partnership we share with our dedicated stakeholders — our parents, Parent Support Group, Alumni, School Advisory Committee and community partners. Their unwavering support plays an integral role in the growth and success of our students and school.
Gongshang Primary School has long been a nurturing environment where students are inspired to learn, lead, and develop into well-rounded individuals. As we look ahead, we recognise that the future will be shaped by rapid technological advancements, evolving global challenges, and new possibilities yet to be imagined. In preparing our students to be future-ready, we are committed to equipping them not only with strong knowledge and skills, but also with the dispositions to think critically and creatively, adapt confidently, and collaborate meaningfully.

As we move forward from our 105th anniversary milestone under the theme, Celebrating Legacy, Inspiring Tomorrow, we honour the values, traditions and achievements passed down through generations, as we continue to guide and inspire the future. We look forward to an exciting and meaningful 2026, as we journey together to shape the next memorable chapters of our Gongshang story. We warmly welcome you to be part of our vibrant community!
